About

DISCOVER THE BRUNSWICK HERITAGE MUSEUM

Brunswick Heritage Museum - Immerse Yourself.

Welcome to the Brunswick Heritage Museum! We are dedicated to celebrating and preserving the rich history of Brunswick, Maryland. Our exhibits trace the town’s journey—from its Native American roots to the transformative impact of the B&O Railroad and C&O Canal.

Immerse yourself in interactive displays, educational videos, and compelling community stories that bring history to life. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a train buff, or simply curious, there's something here for you!

Don’t miss our impressive 1,700-square-foot HO Scale model railroad, which brings the B&O Metropolitan Subdivision to life. Beginning at the west end of Brunswick’s rail yard, it extends eastward through Montgomery County and concludes at Washington, D.C.'s Union Station.

Best of all, admission to the museum is free! As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on your generosity to keep our doors open and history alive.

Brunswick: Then and Now

Once a thriving railroad town, Brunswick has changed—now home to commuters and fewer local businesses. In this short film, created by students with the Brunswick Library and the Brunswick Heritage Museum, residents reflect on how life here has evolved.

Watch the film and hear the stories that shaped our community.

Help Our Cause
